This is a selection from an ongoing portfolio that documents animal road-kills that I encounter on walks I'm taking.

These creatures lives have been cut short because of humans desire to move faster than we can on our own.

​

When I first got my drivers license I saw animals in the road as fair game; targets even. I was an idiot; asshole really. 

​

I feel badly about my behavior. 

​

By photographing these once living creatures, by pausing my walk long enough to have a moment with them, to consider the loss of life, it's sort of an apology.  An apology both to the individual creature I am looking at but also to all the creatures I have caused harm to.
